    Beijing Folklore Museum is located in the ancient Taoist Temple Dongyue, built in 1319. It is the only museum of folklore in Beijing.

    The museum was founded in 1999. Its exposition is located in the temple structures, and in the courtyard of the temple complex.

    It collected a lot of interesting exhibits that are related to Chinese culture, folk beliefs, festivals, customs and rituals.

    The museum often hosts folk festivals and festivities are marked various folk festivals - such as the Spring Festival, or, for example, the Mid-Autumn Festival.
