  • Equestrian statue of George Washington in Paris on the square yen dedicated the first American president George Washington. The author of the bronze statue is an American sculptor Daniel Chester. Inauguration of the monument took place on 3 July 1900 This monument is a gift of American women of France in gratitude.

    The bronze figure of George Washington stands in the direction of the Avenue du Wilson. Astride his steed American president stands on a pedestal, holding a sword in his right hand. This equestrian statue stands with his back to the other equestrian statue - Marshal Foch on the square Trocadero.
