    Former Residence of Lao She, the so-called "red persimmon yard", was acquired by the famous Chinese writer and playwright in 1950 on his return from America. This is a typical Beijing courtyard in the old style. At his residence, Lao She lived and worked until death. Many of his immortal works were written in this quiet and comfortable place. In 2001, the former residence of Lao She was open to the public as a house museum, which is fully preserved environment that existed during the life of the writer. It was only after visiting here, you can understand what the atmosphere created immortal works of the most famous Chinese writer of the twentieth century.
